If you’ve spent more time in your doctor’s waiting room than with your doctor then you’ve probably longed for the days gone by when house calls were common. For certain patients, the time and energy spent waiting is worth paying to skip. This is the concept behind concierge medicine where doctors care for patients on their schedule frequently in their homes.
Dr. Lloyd Bennett founded LuxeCare, a concierge medical practice in East Central Florida. In order to reach his audience of potential patients he needed a 24/7 information source where people could research his services on their schedule. CKC developed an amazing, interactive web site which oozed a laid back Tommy Bahama style to match the doctor’s personality. Inspired by the tropical elegance of his medical office, CKC used textures from his interior design as a backdrop of the web graphics. Ultimately, the site offers viewers a window into the experience of concierge medicine with LuxeCare.
CKC used subtle tactics to give a personal feeling such as a handwriting font, local photography and everyday language instead of medical jargon.
If you remember Marcus Welby, MD, then it’s not too difficult to imagine how concierge medicine business model would thrive.
