German company 2Wcom sought to expand emergency communication technology from Europe into the US. Working in partnership with US-based viaRadio, the company launched a line of emergency communications resources.
CKC branded the lines for residential, governmental and commercial applications. For residential customers, the HEARO Local Alert Receiver serves as the ideal in-home notification system when weather and other emergencies occur. For the brand identity, CKC encouraged a break with traditional red emergency graphics in order to stand out on store shelves. The warning beacon originating from the ‘O’ in HEARO uses a modern, fresh green color to communicate the progressive nature of the product.
For government and commercial entities who would install the notification systems, CKC created the ENVOY Emergency Solutions brand. The name ‘envoy’ signifies the role of the product as the emissary of messaging in terminology consistent with governmental jargon. The beacon graphic repeats in the ‘O’ in ENVOY just as with HEARO, adding to the consistency of the brand family.
Through local, regional and national public relations and advertising the company gathered clients and consumers for HEARO Local Alert Receivers and ENVOY Emergency Solutions.
Most recently the company debuted a mobile version of the highly successful HEARO receiver for the iPhone – HEARO Mobile.
